Understanding my baby more and more each day!

Today we went on  a field trip and the baby's movements were much different from normal. I think he knew that I was in a different place and I don't think that he really liked it. There were more sounds and the routine was different from normal. He has been very routine with his sleep and awake patterns lately. He did not adjust well to the change today. I'm hoping that this isn't a sign of his future personality .... not being very adaptable to change. It might be difficult to deal with if that is the case, since after he's three months old I will be going back to work again.

He's resting on the right hand side now. Yesterday, he was primarily on the left hand side. It's cool to feel his body through mine when he's sleeping. It's even cooler when I feel him move!! Sometimes it's a little unbearable and I have to stop what I'm doing because my stomach stretches out so much. Most of all, I enjoy it and talk to him when I can so that he can hear the sound of my voice.

On Sunday, a group of women will be meeting and I'm hoping to make some connections there. I'd like to try to hire a doula to help me prepare for the birth and to help me after the birth. I'm still not too sure if I want someone else there during the birth. Talking to someone about it will probably help me figure things out a little better. I'm starting to get a little nervous about delivering the baby. That is one of the only things I haven't read in depth about yet. The other thing is breast-feeding. I've heard that breast-feeding is more difficult than delivery ... when I'm home, I will try to get some books to help me become more knowledgeable about those topics!! Another motive for going to the meeting is to meet other women in Seoul who have babies or will be having babies. My life is much different now and rather than sitting alone all the time, it would be nice to actually meet people who are in a similar place in their lives.

Today was quite a stressful day for me. I've been sick for about a month and today, I literally projectile vomited in my kitchen sink for 10 minutes. After that, I had to haul myself to work. I'm completely drained and exhausted. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for my health!
